A 2024 study examining three consecutive harvest years found measurable differences in the mineral composition of the honey from year to year. Researchers were able to classify samples according to harvest year with 83.3% accuracy.


In other words, Bracatinga isn't simply connected to a place.


It can also reflect a particular time and season.

Scientists have found naturally occurring phenolic compounds and minerals in Bracatinga Honeydew Honey.


Research has identified compounds such as syringic acid, p-coumaric acid, and rutin, while magnesium was reported as a major essential mineral in one study.


Laboratory research has also observed antioxidant-related and antimicrobial activity in Bracatinga honeydew honey.
